  • Author: Emily Rhodes

Description

This cheesy garlic bread is the ultimate comfort food, combining warm, crusty bread with buttery garlic and gooey cheese. It’s quick and easy to make, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread (or Italian bread, halved lengthwise)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Place the halved loaf of French bread on a baking sheet, cut side up. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture onto both halves of the bread.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered bread. Make sure to cover every inch for maximum cheesiness!
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. If you like a little crunch, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  6. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm!

Notes

Feel free to mix and match the cheeses! Adding a bit of cheddar or feta can enhance the flavor.
